Omnium Gatherum is a small press dedicated to providing exceptional dark fantasy and transgressive fiction in print, ebook, and audio formats.
Dark fantasy and transgressive fiction, as we define it, combines the best of horror, fantasy, and literary fiction to comment on history, science, society or the human condition. The stories we publish can be sweeping in scope or intensely personal. What they have in common is a dedication to the exploration of fresh ideas in story telling and a unique perspective.
If you have a manuscript that you think we may be interested in, please send a cover letter with your contact information, publishing credits, and a one page synopsis. Include the first four chapters in .doc or .txt format as an attachment and send via email to
editor@omniumgatherumedia.com.
We are most likely to be interested in stories that twist the conventions of horror, fantasy, or literary fiction in a new and interesting way. Surprising interpretations of mythology or folklore, fresh ideas about technology (futuristic, ancient or alternative), unique insight into or commentary about contemporary culture, and unexpected protagonists are likely to capture our attention. Traditional stories about zombies, werewolves, or vampires, are not. Epic fantasies, memoirs and stories in which society is shocked when a professor has an affair with a grad student don’t do much for us either.
